SaltNews -- a news and announcement list dealing with Dryland Salinity

This is an announcement and news list run by the Cooperative Research Centre for Plant-based Management of Dryland Salinity. It is intended for anyone outside of the CRC who is interested in receiving information about managing salinity, wants to learn about CRC activities, or would like to receive our newsletter. It is NOT intended to be a forum for general discussions and list traffic will be kept to a minimum. There are other lists provided for general discussions - the most active of which is SALT List [contact bcmunday@senet.com.au]. Membership of this list is unrestricted - anyone can subscribe. This list is moderated, which means that any postings to this list must first be approved by the me - Chris Twomey [ctwomey@agric.uwa.edu.au]. The idea of this is to keep list traffic down and ensure that the messages you are sent are relevant announcements. This may mean occasional delays in getting messages approved when I am absent, but when I am away for extended periods I will appoint an interim moderator. Using SaltNews
To post a message to all the list members, send email to saltnews@maillists.uwa.edu.au. You can subscribe to the list, or change your existing subscription, in the sections below.
Subscribing to SaltNews
Subscribe to SaltNews by filling out the following form. You will be sent email requesting confirmation, to prevent others from gratuitously subscribing you. This is a hidden list, which means that the list of members is available only to the list administrator. Your email address:   Your name (optional):   You may enter a privacy password below. This provides only mild security, but should prevent others from messing with your subscription. Do not use a valuable password as it will occasionally be emailed back to you in cleartext. If you choose not to enter a password, one will be automatically generated for you, and it will be sent to you once you've confirmed your subscription.
